Terms of Service

By joining the DatePals waitlist or using DatePals, you agree to the following:

1. 1. Agreement and operator

   These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DatePals and related websites and services operated by MaroonCat LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing DatePals or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. 2. Description of the service

   DatePals is an event-based group dating platform. Host couples create Singles Swaps to invite singles; users may participate in matching, purchase tickets for hosted events, and attend group dates at partner venues. Features, phases, and availability may vary by market and are subject to change.

3. 3. Fees, pricing, and payments

   Singles may be charged a per-event ticket (currently up to $15 USD per ticket unless otherwise displayed at checkout). Couples may purchase gift tickets for singles; we only charge gift-ticket amounts when the single accepts and is placed in a group, as described in the product. All payments are processed by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe); we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Prices, taxes, and fees shown at checkout are controlling.

4. 4. Refunds and cancellations

   Refund eligibility depends on the timing of your request, event status, and applicable law. If an event is canceled by us, we will provide a refund or credit as described in-app or by email. If you cancel or do not attend, refunds may be limited or unavailable except where required by law. Chargebacks and payment disputes may result in suspension of your account. For refund requests, contact support@datepals.com with your order details.

5. 5. Waitlist and early access

   The DatePals waitlist provides early access and notifications about Singles Swaps and DatePals-hosted events. Joining does not guarantee availability in your city on a specific date.

6. 6. Communications

   By providing your phone number, you consent to receive automated text messages from DatePals about your waitlist status, product updates, and related notices. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out where supported.

7. 7. Eligibility

   You must be at least 18 years old to use DatePals. You represent that information you provide is accurate and that you will comply with these Terms and applicable laws.

8. 8. No guarantee of matches or events

   DatePals helps facilitate group meet-ups. We do not guarantee matches, group placement, venues, attendance, or any particular outcome.

9. 9. User responsibility

   You agree to provide accurate information and to interact respectfully with others on and off the platform. You are responsible for your conduct and for any content you submit.

10. 10. Privacy

    Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information for money as defined under applicable U.S. state laws.

11. 11. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, DatePals and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. 12. Governing law and disputes

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a different jurisdiction is required by mandatory consumer protection law in your place of residence. You agree to resolve disputes in the courts located in Delaware or as otherwise required by law, except where you have a non-waivable right to bring claims in your local courts.

13. 13. Changes to these terms

    We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date of changes means you accept the updated Terms. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by email or in-app notice) where required by law.
